Ouff Grafik has carefully created a packaging dedicated to Engure: the product “Engure Sprats.” The design process focused on capturing the essence of the village of Engure, reflecting its rich history and strong community ties. Our idea was to create a packaging that not only preserves the traditional quality of the product but also tells a story.
Engure has a long and eventful history, dating back to 1245. For the past 117 years, UNDA/Diplomats has been an integral part of the daily life in this beautiful and dynamic village. Almost every resident of Engure and the surrounding areas has a relative who has contributed to the growth of the UNDA company.
The black minimalist packaging contains photographs from old archives—10 different images in total—that can be removed from the packaging. On the back of each photograph is an interesting historical story about Engure. The front of the packaging is adorned with Engure’s symbol—a pine tree.
